SUMMARY:Growing Pelargoniums
DESCRIPTION:Our speaker for the April meeting is Luci Skinner who has worked in horticulture for nearly 20 years. She is a former Manager and Director of Woottens Nursery in Wenhaston\, where she ran the propagation schedules for the nursery including the rare Pelargonium collection for which she holds the National Collection status for\, jointly with the nursery. Luci now runs her own gardening and plant advice business and has been giving talks for 10 plus years on a variety of different genus. Without doubt one of the best speakers on the circuit. So if you grow pelargoniums / geraniums or want to know more about them then you won’t want to miss this presentation.

DESCRIPTION:Alice Hunter is a specialist in wildlife & landscape photography. Growing up in rural Herefordshire she was always fascinated by nature and wildlife. Encouraged by her family Alice went on to win international competitions for her photographs. She contributes to the Wildscreen Exchange initiative to help conservation charities raise awareness of their causes. Alice leads wildlife photography tours for Greentours. Her talks are enjoyed by garden clubs as well as U3A.

SUMMARY:AGS Norfolk Group talk by Tim Ingram on Gardening on Rocks
DESCRIPTION:Tim's talk is about all the many and varied plants\, especially alpines\, that grow well in a rock garden. He has a nursery in Faversham\, Kent called Copton Ash which focuses on Alpines & perennials for dryer & woodland gardens. Tim’s interest in plants began in his teenage years when he had a raised rock garden. Later while working in plant hormones he spent 6 months in Tasmania and took the opportunity to explore the wild. He has also\nwritten a book on Umbellifers for HPS. He grows a lot of Alpines in his garden in Kent.

SUMMARY:NNHS Holiday to Harrogate Autumn Flower Show
DESCRIPTION:We have a three night/four day holiday for our members\, making a return visit to the Harrogate Autumn Flower Show at Newby Hall & Gardens\, which will take place from 18-20 September 2026.    Three nights dinner\, bed & breakfast accommodation has been reserved at The Parsonage Hotel\, Escrick near York by our coach company Avanti.  Cost for members £460 per person sharing a twin/double room (£480 per person for affiliated society members) and £520 for a single person occupying a twin/double room (members only\, limited availability). £10 discount for National Trust members. \nItinerary: \nDepart from East Tuddenham Village Hall at 8am\, parking available.  Comfort stops on route to our first garden. \nWednesday 16 September 2026\, 2pm arrival: Stillingfleet Lodge Gardens \nThursday 17 September 2026\, 11am arrival: full day at RHS Garden Harlow Carr \nFriday 18 September 2026 - full day at Harrogate Autumn Flower Show \nSaturday 19 September 2026 - depart from our hotel.  Visit to National Trust Nostell\, arriving at 10.30 and departing at 2pm. One comfort stop before arrival back at East Tuddenham Village Hall at approximately 6pm.
