DESCRIPTION:Shipdham Garden Club & Horticultural Society's first meeting of 2025 will include a talk by Annette Hurt on Gardening Naturally.  Annette gave this talk to Norfolk & Norwich Horticultural Society in September 2024 and it went down very well with those present.  The focus is on gardening without the use of chemicals and instead using natural solutions. \nMembers free.  Non-members welcome\, £3 per person including tea\, coffee & biscuits.

SUMMARY:LAWN CARE
DESCRIPTION:Our February monthly meeting will have horticultural expert Martyn Davey give us a practical and timely talk on how to look after our lawns. Martyn\, formerly senior lecturer at Easton & Otley Horticultural College\, now works as head gardener for Nurtured in Norfolk. As we move into March our lawns will start to come out of hibernation and the grass will begin to grow again. How should we prepare our lawns for the coming season? How do we deal with moss in our lawns? How do we get rid of those bare patches and other tricky lawn problems? Martyn will bring his experience and vast knowledge to advise us on such matters and on how we can make our lawns look in tip-top condition for another year. This will include not only how to mow our lawns but also what products we can use on our lawns to get them in good shape and health in an environmentally sensitive way.
