DESCRIPTION:Norfolk & Norwich Horticultural Society look forward to welcoming Gwenda Kyd\, scientist and complementary medicine practitioner\, to The Costessey Centre for a talk titled "Twelve Tremendous Trees". \nGwenda says "More than any other plants\, trees are intricately linked to us.  Our use of trees spans every aspect of our lives\, from providing interest to the most barren of landscapes\, to their use as building materials and a source of foods\, medicines and a wide range of other substances.  Using 12 trees as examples\, this talk explores these uses and links the extracted materials back to their role in the trees themselves."

DESCRIPTION:Sarah Hammond is a sustainable artisan florist and flower farmer in North Norfolk growing fabulous flowers in her walled cutting garden and amazing peonies on her farm in North Walsham. Sarah’s family have been growing a range of peonies\, with other flowers\, on their family farm for the last 50 years. Sarah also teaches sustainable flower growing and floristry at The Norfolk School of Gardening. With her many years’ experience Sarah will give us expert advice in growing and caring for Peonies.
