Coronavirus update

In keeping with government advice and after careful consideration,  our show and event schedule recommenced from 5 August 2021, subject to changes in and compliance with coronavirus guidance.

We continue to keep in touch with our members by email and through our Facebook and Twitter pages.  The series of on-line talks using Zoom, which all members and affiliated society members are invited to attend, will continue until March 2022 alongside any face-to-face events.  If you are a member of the society but haven't yet given us your email address, please advise the general secretary on or use the Contact Us link on this website.

We are a friendly horticultural society with around 300 members and many affiliated societies and groups from across the county of Norfolk & further afield. Our members range from farmers, professional horticulturists, allotment holders and flower arrangers to active gardeners and not-so-active gardeners who enjoy seeing a colourful display outside their windows and visiting other people’s gardens.

Gardening for Everyone

In April 2019 we launched a new mission – “Gardening for Everyone” . We all know that gardening is good for us and has major benefits:

  1. Improves self esteem
  2. Reduces Stress
  3. Good for Heart health
  4. Better quality sleep
  5. Improves hand and overall strength
  6. Sense of community
  7. Home grown Fruit and Vegetables

There are many more benefits we could list.  Our goal with our Gardening for Everyone initiative is to make everyone in the community aware of the opportunities and organisations in Norfolk and beyond.
