Monthly Meeting – Climbing & Rambling Roses for Every Situation

- Our speaker in June is Simon White of Peter Beale Roses. Simon has worked at Peter Beale roses for over 40 years and knows all there is to know on climbing and rambling roses. In his presentation Simon will discuss all the locations in which you can grow a climber or rambling rose, including arches, pergolas, walls and fences, including north facing walls. Whether you grow your roses in pots and containers or up a tree, obelisk, post or rails there is a rose that will fit the bill. With over 1100 roses listed by Peter Beales Roses, of which 250 are unique to them, it is not surprising they won their 29th gold medal at this years’ Chelsea Flower show. So come along and Simon will show you that every Garden has somewhere that you would be able to grow a climber or Rambler Rose.
