Bee-Friendly Gardening

Our speaker for the May meeting is experienced Norfolk Beekeeper Lynda Hunt. Lynda will talk about what bee-friendly plants, shrubs and trees you can plant in your garden that support Bees. If you want to learn more about which plants to grow in your garden – large or small – to encourage these crucially important pollinating insects (year round, not just in high summer), then this is the talk to attend. Get ideas for what plants to buy & which nurseries or garden centres may sell them untreated with neonicotinoids (systemic insecticides which do not degrade, therefore harming Bees). Lynda will give examples of the sorts of plants you can grow, like Angelica, which are not difficult to grow & low maintenance.
