You`ll get tips on ideas like ‘repeat planting’ and the ‘importance of paths.
Coach trip to Alpine Garden Society Early Spring Show & Plant Fair
Chelmsford Racecourse Chelmsford, Essex, United KingdomWe have organised a coach trip to the Alpine Garden Society Early Spring Show & Plant Fair at Chelmsford Racecourse on Saturday 2 March 2024. There are a few seats available, please Contact Us if you are interested in coming with us. This is a new venue for this indoor show and many nurseries and other societies will be attending. Please follow the link for details. Coach cost £20 per person. AGS members get free entry to the show, non-members pay £5 on the door. We will depart from Hethersett Village Hall, Back Lane, Hethersett, NR9 3JJ at 8am. A second pick up will be made on the main road in Long Stratton, from where we will travel directly to the show, arriving around 9.30am. We will leave at 2.30pm, arriving back at around 4pm.

Gardens for Us and Them – talk by Dr Ian Bedford
Hethersett Methodist Church Hall 32 Great Melton Road, HethersettDr Ian Bedford speaks of ‘Gardens for Us and Them’ and is preceded by the Club’s Annual General Meeting. The Gardening Club Members’ monthly meeting starts at 7.30pm in the Methodist Church Hall, located in the Great Melton Road, Hethersett, NR9 3AB. Meetings last until 9pm when refreshments are available, the meeting is at no cost to Members. All meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month excepting December which is held on the second Wednesday. Visitors are very welcome at a fee of £2.00. The half year Annual Society Membership fee is £10, Juniors’ fee is £1.50.

Coach trip to Green Island Gardens, Essex
Green Island Gardens Park Road, Ardleigh, Colchester, Essex, United KingdomA day trip for members and affiliated society members with Avanti Coach Travel to Green Island Gardens in Essex. We have sufficient expressions of interest to fill a coach plus a waiting list. Departing from Easton College at 9.15am and picking up in Long Stratton on route. Arriving at Green Island Gardens around 11am and departing at 3pm. Arriving back at Easton College around 4.45pm. Cost £40 for members and affiliates. Price includes hot drink on arrival followed by a lunch of soup and a roll, cake and hot drink.
